Keli Richmond, M.S., CCC-SLP is a practicing school-based speech-language pathologist within the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas. Keli strives to improve speech, language, and literacy skills as she collaborates with Head Start, preschool, and kinder-aged classrooms.
Some highlights of Keli’s career are receiving the Professional Achievement Award in Recognition of Advancement of Knowledge in Clinical Practice from the Indiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ISHA); multiple Awards for Continuing Education (ACE) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); and the Award for Top 100 Websites for Speech-Language Pathologists. The ISHA award is based on outstanding professional development and community involvement. The ASHA award is based on commitment to lifelong learning. Promoting her passion to help children communicate; Keli conducts in-service training for school-based personnel, presents accredited continuing education seminars nationwide for Northern Speech Services, speaks at speech-language-hearing conventions, educator conferences, and related events.
Keli is the author of Literacy Speaks! – a comprehensive program driven by orthographic instruction (printed cues). Literacy Speaks! focuses on improving speech intelligibility and expanding language skills while developing a strong literacy foundation.
The “Speech Reads” Book Club was created and is moderated by Keli. “Speech Reads” can be found on the Goodreads website. “Speech Reads” connects affiliates in the speech discipline through their love of literacy.
