“I love the variety this field offers!”

I am an ASHA certified SLP working as a travel therapist in a wide variety of settings! I’m the biggest fan of this field and believe in what we do with my whole heart. In my spare time, I’m also an author for my store on Teachers Pay Teachers and I write a blog called Short and Sweet Speech about all things SLP and travel!

I grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from OSU with my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science: Child and Family Services. I completed my master’s degree at the University of Oklahoma in Speech -Language Pathology where I was blessed with the opportunity to complete rotations in hospital, private practice, school, and pediatric inpatient settings
along with our university clinic. I loved the opportunity to learn something new and find new challenges with each new setting. While I have a degree from and love for both schools, I am a Sooner at heart! Boomer!

After grad school, I wanted to move somewhere that I didn’t know anyone after growing up in the tiny place that Oklahoma comes to be. I chose Nashville because of my love for music and its “small town in a big city” vibe. I fell in love with the city, as most who visit do! As a new grad working in the public school system, there was not much available for new materials. I stumbled upon a freebie from Teachers Pay Teachers. After browsing through some of the stores on TpT, I decided I’d try my hand at it. I never imagined it would turn into all that it has. I love creating materials that go into other clinics and classrooms around the world.

After spending some time in the school system, I transitioned to private practice where I remained for about 2 years. I’ve always had a serious case of wanderlust and toyed with the idea of being a travel therapist. After talking with several companies and looking at several assignments, I found the perfect fit and jumped on board! I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to see all parts of the world while I’m able to continue a career that I love! I get to take my blog and TpT store with me wherever I travel as well! I really do have the best of both worlds getting to travel for business and pleasure at the same time! God has blessed me big!
