About

Theresa Richard M.A. CCC-SLP, Board Certified Specialist in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders applicant, owner and president of Mobile Dysphagia Diagnostics completed her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University at Buffalo. Over the last eight years, Mrs. Richard has worked in skilled nursing facilities and hospitals in Indiana, Nevada, and New York, and is dedicated to improving diagnostics and treatment for the dysphagia population. She is currently licensed in 4 different states. According to ASHA’s clinical competencies, Mrs. Richard has been trained to perform the the fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) independently. Theresa has practiced under direct supervision and performed procedures under indirect supervision by Kathy Fitzgerald, M.S., CCC-SLP of SEC Medical Speech Pathology Consulting & Training. She is now a clinical specialist for them as well, providing demos of Optim Mobile FEES equipment, trainings, and CEU courses. Theresa has completed Advanced FEES training through S.A. Swallowing Services and Susan Langmore, PhD. Theresa is a visiting guest lecturer at the University at Buffalo and Buffalo State University on the topic of FEES as well as a clinical instructor on the hands-on application and interpretation of the FEES as part of an ASHA approved CEU course for ceucustomercare.com. Mrs. Richard is also a member of ASHA Special Interest Group 13 (Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders), the Dysphagia Research Society, former President of the Nevada Speech-Language Hearing Association, and 3-time ASHA ACE Award recipient for continuing education.
