Kristin Greenhalgh

Kristin is a Connecticut licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and is nationally certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Kristin is an enthusiastic therapist whose dream was to become a SLP since she was 15 years old. She has always had a desire to work with children. She has been involved in babysitting, coaching, and mentoring children from a young age, and she’s thrilled to continue her passion through speech therapy.

Kristin earned her Masters of Education Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Virginia in 2006. Her clinical experience includes working in the Fairfax County Public Schools in Fairfax, VA, Manchester Public Schools in Manchester, CT, The American School for the Deaf, and West Hartford Public Schools in West Hartford, CT. Kristin has worked at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. Through her time in the schools, she attended training for the Visualizing and Verbalizing program as well as the National ASHA conference where she focused on incorporating technology into speech and language therapy. Kristin has presented, “Practical Therapy Techniques and Activities for the school-based SLP” at The Speech and Hearing Association of Virginia (SHAV) conference. Kristin joined the PASTA team in early 2010 after moving to Connecticut with her husband in July of 2009.

Kristin has provided speech-language intervention services for a variety of communication disorders including: articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, auditory processing, apraxia of speech, social communication disorders, fluency disorders, and cognitive-communication disorders. She has provided therapeutic services to children with a variety of medical needs and disorders including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Bipolar, and Mood disorders.

When she’s not working, Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys the outdoors, watching sporting events, playing any type of game with her kids, and the beach. The fall is all about football in the Greenhalgh household, Go Falcons!

Kristin is passionate about helping children reach their full potential. She loves engaging with children and their families to allow everyone involved to be part of the therapeutic process.
