About
My professional journey began in a rehab center in Kansas City, Missouri and continued to a community mental health center in Oklahoma, to the setting up of a private practice in Phoenix, Arizona, to a variety of clinical settings in California to finally come to a close in a high school following 17 years of work in the schools and 35 years in various clinical settings. I can honestly say my passion for this field has not dissipated over the years, but only gotten stronger. My 52 years in this field have passed very quickly. I would choose to do it all again. My greatest achievement is implementing the first newborn hearing screening program in Oklahoma in 1968. I worked with a team of mental health specialists to organize one of the first teams to study and treat children having specific learning disabilities 1969. Then later, founded one of the first private speech pathology/audiology practices in Phoenix Arizona in 1975.
