Kathie has over 19 years of experience working with children and families to reach their communication potential. Prior to establishing Time for Speech, Kathie worked for the Anchorage School District, a private clinic, and was a traveling speech therapist completing assignments in Las Vegas, Washington and the Alaskan Bush. Kathie graduated with her Bachelor’s and Masters of Education in Speech Pathology from the University of Toledo. Kathie is a member of Anchorage’s community based Fetal Alcohol Spectrum team providing evaluations and treatment for children exposed to alcohol in utero.  Kathie is also a PROMPT trained speech language pathologist.

Kathie has experience working with children with a variety of communication difficulties including : Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, apraxia of speech, articulation, language delay, feeding difficulties and children using low and high tech voice output device systems. In her free time,

Kathie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter – hiking, fishing, camping, traveling and exploring the great state of Alaska!
